Beat BC in the D1AA national quarter finals. Played Bowling Green in the semi-finals. Lead 18-17 at end of regulation but a penalty gave Bowling Green the ball and they kicked a FG to win it. One play away from the National Championship game v Kentucky! Very hard fought game, VT represented well finished season 9-1-1. Since 2021 they’ve won 2 D1AA national titles and went to semis twice. #6 ranked Men’s Rugby beat #8 Boston College in OT 44-39 in the National Collegiate Rugby Championship quarterfinals last Saturday at VT in brutally cold windy weather. Advanced to the Semi-Finals vs #2 Bowling Green Dec 7 in Philly. Winner plays in the National Championship in Houston. These guys are tough and represent VT with pride. Too bad they don’t get the attention they deserve. Have won 2 Nattys in the past 4yrs.
