Posting History (862)

Well she did get a degree therefore she is a Hokie.

That said, with the angst and animosity, I don't know why people feel compelled to keep bringing her and Kenny Brooks up. If people are interested in what they are doing, they can Google.

Who is the dumbass announcer

Who has said Georgia Tech at least twice. Damn it’s not that hard.

This post is pretty insightful. I'm curious and will look later at the

heights on other teams. One key component to any team is culture and fit. If you've got a bad mix, you won't succeed. And we really don't need any more "group chats."

Well I guess I'm guilty of reading too much into @Popsof1s posts.

I thought we were going to get some additional transfers and some unexpected ones from the words he used.

Main reason I stopped trying to get season tickets to WBB

I don't have huge amounts of money to donate (yea I ponied up and got football tickets again this year), but it's mind boggling to me that they keep "selling out" the reserved seats and when you watch the games they are mostly empty. It's disappointing when you want to support a team to have fewer options. Another reason is early tips. I work until 5pm in Roanoke, hard to make it the weekday 6p tip offs. I wish they'd consider selling blocks of reserve tickets for the weekend games only.

The person above had a good point that Lou and Clem

Had more intel on Baker and Nelson than non ACC schools. In the end I don’t care anymore.

At what level do athletic scholarships cease to exist?

I went to Roanoke College (D3), there was a lot of money to help make it more affordable but as I recall there were no athletic scholarships. A classmate was an outstanding softball pitcher. Only assistance she got were academic grants and scholarships

Just one of those games where shots don’t fall

And players make unforced errors by trying too hard. I didn’t see that butt whipping coming

There's another article linked over there that talked about how she

was hateful and yelled at videographers, strength coaches, etc. How was that not reported as a hostile work environment a long time ago? Maybe UVA athletics needs to review that and their HR policies... I know a person on the "inside" at UVA that hints at bad crap going on there, a lot of unethical $$ changing hands, wanting to ignore rules and regs for spending $$. Starts in AD office. ** Edited by JHokieD at 4/4/2026, 11:27:03 PM

Thank you for your perspective and insight. I am happy Carleigh decided to

stay and I'm encouraged at reading your comments. I think we have a great coach and the best is yet to come. We may never reach the SC or UCONN level, but we can certainly see that some schools are not what they once were. NIL has created such a weird dynamic. I keep saying the portal giveth and the portal taketh away. I wish these players all the best and appreciate their contributions. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Pops! LGH!

I think she is a generous individual and cares deeply for her players

and her roots. She's done a lot of good charitable things, and is a player's coach. She is not an innocent victim nor deserving of some of the adjectives that have been attached to her today. She acted out in response to him and made herself look foolish and unprofessional as well. What a hot mess.

He was pissed but strong ripped her own jersey

Guess he’s sick of bully ball ** Edited by JHokieD at 4/3/2026, 9:10:52 PM

A lot of wasted energy be dramatic. I laughed out loud at the one

attempt to get a foul called and the dumb announcers were all for it.. dee kanter was like nope... she initiated the contact. she looked like a damn fish when you put it on the deck of the boat. flippin and floppin. SMH

I’m not the coach. You don’t have to shout but your name says it all

Likely not many sets designed for her… ** Edited by JHokieD at 3/6/2026, 11:10:03 PM
