It just fits in the VT basketball universe.

Even longer than that.It goes back to 1953.
Isn't that the year the members of the Southern Conference split up to form what is now the ACC and the SEC? One group wanted to "major" in bowl inclusion and the other was more interested in academic pursuits. At least that is what my sketchy memory dredged up.
And VPI decided not to change and remain in the Southern Conference.
Over all, how'd that work out? The more things changed, the more VT remained the same.

It's not the tents, it's who's in them and what they represent.
Both are portable and we are only about 15 miles from where these a-holes are. It's very easy for them to spread their vitriol up here and nobody wants them here or needs them here. We have enough of our own problems without them donating theirs to us.

Actually, I'm in White Plains. Yonkers is right next to the Bronx,
so we do get the run-off from the Bronx. Part of that run-off is that we have that Squat member Jamaar Bowman as our district rep. That district has part of the Bronx and Westchester County. He is typical of what's wrong with this country right now and he "represents" us? Not really, he represents himself and the rest of the Squat. He's the douche hen dithat pulled the fire alarm to prevent a congressional vote he and the Squat didn't want to take place.
Were you up here to meet with the Westchester PD? I wonder if the White Plains PD is having the same staffing problem - they probably are. The situation around here wasn't helped by flying in a bunch of migrants to Westchester airport ater hours without any warning to local residents.
I hate to say it, but something drastic is going to happen before things get better. Anybody got a gun I can borrow?

I have no idea what the alleged counter protest will be about, but...
...after hearing that the "peaceful" Columbia protesters cornered a Jewish student, told him to "kill yourself" and then kicked him in the stomach a few times, I think there may be more needed to convince these new Neo-Nazi "peaceniks" that they will reap what they sow.
I am very glad I am currently about 15 miles away from this scene - for now.

Don't feel guilty, you are not alone
I too want to block it out, but we are being bombarded by online and offline news about them and it really feels like it is spreading around here. One thing I am doing is going to any establishments that these terrorist supporters are saying should be boycotted for doing business in Israel. McDonalds is one I will be going back to, as well as Starbucks (I have never been in a Starbucks, so I'll have to go online to see what's on the menu).

Is VT getting occupied by the We Hate Israel protesters?
I live about 15 miles north of Columbia U and am waiting for their next move.
I have heard rumors about counter protests being organized, so things could get quite interesting around here.
Hopefully this sh-t isn't affecting VT or nearby areas.
