The recruits we are getting are highly ranked. That matters way more than were they came from.

My second son goes to MSU. People there were hoping they would fire Smith and have a shot at Franklin.
I was at the Spartan - PSU game Sat night. They were all saying he was basically the best coach available and the fit for VT was beyond ideal.

I live in Michigan, smack in the middle of big 10 country. Yes there is the truth he can’t win big games. There is also a lot of people here that say it’s a huge hire and places VT instantly at another level.

I spent a good deal of time in Marion in the early 1990s. Was a co-op at the Atkins TRW plant years ago. Great memories.

The reality is the coach was fired to bring back Rich Rod and his merry gang of assclowns.
Zero chance we will be disappointed as our Oline was a huge disappointment and weakness.

I agree with a lot of the posts below. I’ve always been one of those crazy
People that instantly notice the uniforms with any sporting event I’m watching.
Regarding VT, it’s about looking good, unique and representing our brand. I always felt we are special with our Chicago maroon and burnt orange combo. It reminds me of what I love in the fall. An updated version back to the Vick glory days brings back a lot of wonderful memories for a lot of us.

It was a sign of good things to come in 1993.
Not that we could see it at the time, having lived through that disaster as a student. But we were close in so many games and turned the corner in 1993.
