Before the start of his senior year, Leo Ferrine was forced to transfer to a new school. His former school, Bishop Francis Essex Catholic, lost funding and shut down at the end of the school year.

Ferrine transferred to St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey, and everything has worked out very well ever since.
