Ticketing all events is a must

A lot of the schools I got information from have a count, but don't actually charge for tickets. I feel like this is selling the "non-revenue" programs short. If you're drawing over 1,000 for a match, then charge 5-10 bucks. That shows there's value in your product. Some schools pass on the idea because they claim they'll lose more money staffing a ticketed event vs. just letting people in for free. Come on. What logic is that? I'm going to do a summer deep dive into why schools don't ticket for indoor sports (I get not ticketing for golf, cross country, etc.) but where there's seats, there should be tickets and there should be money made.
