Time for my yearly ignorant wrestling-viewer post where I need your help...

in the Gaj match, it often seemed like he was making moves and had control over Lamer but he never scored any points, and then Lamer got that 3 point score which our coaches unsucessfully challenged. How did Lamer get 3 points there when he was being held the whole time and never really on top?
