They didn’t go for reversals before.

They chose down, got an escape and the two point takedown. That was three points versus a three point reversals Reversals are usually the result of the guy on top getting in bad position and if they do they usually cut the guy loose and take their chances on their feet. Where a reversal is 2 or 3 points doesn’t matter, they are likely getting cut free if the top guy thinks a reversal is coming. They looked at the data when they made this decision. And the reason they didn’t change reversals is because there aren’t many and they want to get guys into neutral and on their feet. I think we can all stop crowing about three point reversals. It just isn’t happening and until a wrestler gets more than 1 or 2 a season there isn’t any reason to discuss it further.
