Positives, like you said, 2 seed is likely to rack up 1-2 bonus points in their first match. Negative is there are a lot of good 3 seeds this year that will make for a much tougher second round than the 4/5 seed. 125, 149, 157, 197, 285 all have top 15ish guys in the 3 seed that it would be beneficial to miss. The addition of Stanford and Pitt being pretty good has kind of flipped that compared to years past. Examples: 125 will be a Provo vs Robinson matchup. Good for EV to avoid that. Double good that it decreases chances of a NCST finalist 149 will likely be a Buesgens vs Valencia matchup. Good for Gaj to avoid that even though a likely 1v4 matchup with Kade Brown is tough too.
