And frankly they were far more egregious than what Wolak just did, but Henson was still only given a verbal warning. Also I recall several years ago there was an emphasis on posts landing below the forehead and points were awarded after a warning as well. I even recall a VT wrestler lost a match because of that penatly point, though I can’t remember exactly who it was at the time. Anyway, I truly don’t believe there is a grand conspiracy against VT. I do think ACC refs are often influenced into stall calls by certain coaches and the home crowd, but it works to our advantage sometimes as well. This was unlike anything I can ever recall because there were repeated questionable calls and one had to be overturned by independent review.
