Something just isn’t right with NC State
(1) they had 3 weights that were complete disasters all year, not worthy of their brand: 157, 184, 197. Never seen them with such huge holes in their lineup.
(2) they didn’t bring any impact wrestlers in from the portal. Redding and Brophy underwhelmed bigtime.
(3) Fishback left them high and dry at 184. VRob regressed, Ryan Jack disappointed, Arrington disappointed due to injury, Will Denny collapsed at ACCs. Even Singleton appears to have regressed…I would not bet on him to Podium at NCAAT.
(4) Last year, Orine and Ed Scott had terrible senior seasons.
Trumble is the lone bright spot and he will likely make the NCAA final, maybe Buesgens is a bright spot, too. Court is still out on him.
Something is just off in Raleigh…
