When Dave was a senior in high school I was outside Dresser’s office, when a starter who was very good, came in to tell the coach his career was over. He was getting pinned and teched every match. A brutal emotional conversation. I asked coach if he needed an operation, and he said he needed three. Dresser said he was getting thrown to the wolves and he never complained. Coach said there will be a time when your son should be on an operating table and he is going to wrestle. That happened more than once.
