We use a seeding matrix, that's mostly set in stone

officially its: 25% head to head 20% Quality Wins 15% Coaches 10% Results agains common opponents 10% RPI 10% Event Placement, ie conference 10% win % The biggest however thing is to allocate for the weight for the ACC. To do that you need 2/3: RPI (15 matches), coaches poll rankings (8 matches), or .7 win percentage (I believe their is a matches minimum of 8 but I'm not 100 percent sure). These are also minimums and if to many wrestlers qualify they up the standards. With the new coaches and RPI we auto qualify 9 weights for ACC, the only one that hasn't is Andy...

How much is RPI used/weighted in NCAA seeding vs other metrics or eye test?
