As his dad mentioned he’s got a hurt knee
Low single that deep with a hurt knee you don’t have a lot of options where you’re not going to put your knee in a bad spot.
Your option would be to belly out because he can’t just give up the takedown without bellying out. Then you’re susceptible to a bow and arrow because he already has your ankle. Bad knee + bow and arrow = bad news.
Low singles are a bad knees worst nightmare. Rolling through is honestly one of your better options especially when you’re an athlete of TJ’s caliber.
I believe TJ’s typical solution there would be to get up on one foot and hand fighting and working out of it much like Mekhi would do, but with a bad knee Ryder can manipulate his knee in any direction.
Last year I was tough on TJ, but I’m not seeing the same concerns I had last year. This just looks like rust and having to figure out how to wrestle with a bum knee which is very hard. Three knee surgeries and multiple dislocations worth of experience here.

Tough loss for TJ but good showing so far. He is getting better though.**

I hope you reconsider. Hate that some people ruin it for everyone. **
