I think they should be, it would encourage more mat wrestling imho
My son finished wrestling before the change (he actually coaches at a small college in Kentucky now), but we've had this discussion a lot.
Now a reversal usually ends up the same net points as an escape, since the guy you reverse usually ends up escaping for his own point, and trying a reversal quite often takes more time, ends in stalemate, etc.
But, my main argument is, even though takedowns are obviously hard to come by in college, you see probably ten times more than you see reversals. Making reversals worth three would encourage people to go back to working on them more imho.
