Posting History (80)

Provo is a big 25.

Robinson is kinda small, so maybe that makes him look a little bigger, but he still looks huge for 25 to me

For 1, it was hard to tell from the camera angle

But I thought they were challenging if he got back past 90 degrees before the 3 count. But it was definitely a big 3 points, for sure. For 2, it happens a lot in the scrambles they get into these days. I don't think gaj was doing it as defense, his opponent was trying to put him there. The rule causes people to try to roll, shift their grip, etc, which usually leads to position changes and more scrambling, rather than just laying there waiting for a stalemate..

Neutral danger, a rule they added a few years ago

Basically, if while it's neutral your back gets exposed to the mat for 3 seconds, it's a takedown. You'll see the ref counting with hand motions going up and down (as opposed to side to side for near fall) and if he gets a 3 count, it's a takedown.

I think you're probably correct, he probably finishes it

If the ref doesn't stop it. That's why they usually let it play out....

Yes, but that match (seidel's) is tomorrow morning.

Consi semis. If gaj wins, he'll wrestle in consi semis in the morning. Lose, and wrestle for 7th tomorrow. Right?

Sorry, I meant seidel. Should have been clearer.

I thought vtbama meant seidel had to win one more to go for third

Winn dixie, if I'm not mistaken

I'm just a dad of a wrestler (he coaches in college now) but that's what I think it was.

He could have kept it closer

But had to try to press at the end and have up a couple cheap takedowns. Imho.

Well, seidel scored more points against the 5 seed

Than Eddie has total in the last....6 matches? 7? His defense is awesome, and his offense and scrambling are good, when he does it. He just won't or can't pull the trigger. Very confusing.

Eddie is Eddie, that's what his matches are going to look like

Imho. Same with Miller. I would say a little better for Gaj, personally. And yes, I know Mullen was going for the tech, but he was going to be a point short so it wasn't the smartest wrestling.

So close....

The early questionable stall put him in a bad spot
