Andy’s attitude. - a lot of experienced guys like Andy have a tendency to ride out the last year and often don’t seem to get much better. He seems to be wrestling smarter and still seems to be getting better. I think he’ll put some upsets on the board this year. Hippolito - I’m not even sure how to describe or compare what he’s doing in trying to turn guys. The pressing of his foot into an opponents back last night almost led to back points. Not sure I’ve seen the stuff he’s doing before or who on earth taught him this stuff. Fun to watch for sure. TJ - think we are seeing some “sophomore” struggles here. Probably best to go through this early in the season. It’s a long season with a lot of time to improve (or fall off). One of the reasons for a strong early season opponent list is to show guys where they are well before March. At his weight he’s going to face a lot of taller guys like last night. Hopefully he finishes a bit better on his feet as that appears to be an issue early on. Good match last night though. Hope we get rid of the in match graphic (Rutgers And VT logos) in the future as it was unnecessary.
