A lot of the Covid guys who got extra eligibility in wrestling

Seem to underperform in their later years. Maintaining excellence and weight for an 5-6 years is tough. I’d say even some of our Hokies have struggled with their extra eligibility with injuries and keeping their edge. Wrestling is tough and for the guys that have been on mats since they were little kids that’s alot of abuse and stress on the body. Burnout too.

I'd say year 2-3 have consistently been the best years for our guys
