Mekhi went up a weight…

And I think he injured at least 1 finger badly that never healed fully. Mekhi was a ridiculously strong 165, locking up that cradle on Cenzo took incredible upper body and grip strength. For the last 2 years at 174 I think his grip strength was compromised. Getting ridden and not getting out from bottom is a symptom of this when he stood up and went to work on the locked hands of his opponent and couldn’t seem to pry open their grip before they hit a big mat return (Foca, Labriola, Griffith, and especially Starocci who rode him easily in all but their first match) Caleb looks like a 149er for his career and that will help.

There is just no way to know. Certainly he's capable, but health is always

Definitely different styles but Caleb is super consistent too. He is great

Caleb feasted all year.

I'd argue Caleb's style is way better for consistently winning matches

Mekhi had that injury in the Pitt match, and was never the same
