I assume this young woman from Washington is still coming to VT. Another 6-0 guard who can score to add to the mix. Any thoughts about her potential contributions?

Wenzel and nelson are going to average 30-32+ minutes a game
Either Wells or Suffren are going to get 15-24 mins a game
If both are here, then another will get minutes.
If baker plays any at 3….
And this is without taking into account sears, if Swanson is there or a transfer.
She might have some good minutes against a cupcake that will make fans clamor for more.
We will have entrenched senior and junior guards…
The field will be more open in 2027-28

She will play. Love all our Hokies but let’s admit we not best shooters , Sears figures in also. Experience I agree those two have .

Lower % stats… these 2 rarely get open shots because we lack driving and kicking, spacing, and just moving the ball. Our offense rarely makes the extra pass which almost always leads to a higher percentage shot.

understanding how spacers impact the game and overall flow of the game! Corner threes are money makers in the league and open up the floor. Did you catch the Oregon game. They had spacers in an offense that spread the floor and allowed them to have multiple less contested 3 point options.

Both were spotty shooter from outside. You can mumble on all you desire. I could care not much at all. Let's get one thing straight before you turn this into something it is not. I did not say they were not good players. I said they were not good enough shooters to scare other team. Can you improve? I think some with much hard work. These two girl's are real fast. Their game is open court. If you can't see that so be it. I am glad we had both. If future I desire shooters.

FG% and 3% is statistically up there with some of the best/former VT shooters/players. CB and CW were very much scouted for and guarded heavily. What coaches and these young ladies (and team) did throughout the season was pretty great. By the way, the work did not stop, and will not stop… once their bodies rest, recover, and heal from lingering injuries… the work will continue. Growth and improvement is always the goal, even if fans don’t see it.

at the ACC level, against ACC-caliber players.... Playing defense and not turning the ball over can get you planning time, even if you can shoot.

P4 freshman guards won't see minutes unless they're top 5 recruits like Hidalgo, Jazzy Davidson, etc. Too much of a skill gap from the older/experienced players.

Not best shooters. Carleigh and Baker good. Others are but limited. Experience I agree snd D toughness .
