That's kind of a relief, wasn't looking forward to schlepping across the DC region from MD on the beltway on a Thursday (or any day of the week for that matter after noon...) would have had to strategize going out to say SNP for the day then driving in on 66 to go in, opposite of the rush hour headed out. Lost a little bit on the resale, way it goes. What a disaster, would have gone for one reason and one reason only, to see Liz one more time - was kinda seeing the writing on the wall - if even only for five minutes, but of course, she gets waived only a couple weeks before (couldn't you guys keep her for just a little longer?) or even see Georgia on the other side, figure they would somehow greet each other. Both down. Heck, even if I was there as a neutral fan for the game well, superstar A'ja just went down also. They should pay me not to buy tickets from now on, I'll oblige them I guess. Coincidentally, saw Liz play at Eaglebank Arena a few years back when they played GMU. Same thing, visited the Marine Corp museum in Quantico so I could drive "back" against rush hour traffic to Fairfax...which didn't work all that well. Looks like Megan Duffy is going to be at VT fan get-together before the game, 5-7 across from the arena. That would have been fun, really the last reason for going, especially if she had a little time to chat, be curious what the setup will be: just show up say a few words and leave or something more relaxed would be cool. ah well. ** Edited by `lag at 7/10/2025, 12:07:06 PM
