I see your point and I think we agree.

No I don't think Kentucky fans will follow Georgia as much now that she's gone. Even though Kentucky probably has a larger basketball fanbase, that's mostly for their mens team. They didn't even sell out their arena, which is smaller than Cassell, for their 2 NCAA tournament games and I think only sold out 1 regular season game (Louisville). At VT, it wasn't just women's basketball fans that followed the team. Liz and Georgia drew in people to become women's basketball fans that hadn't paid any attention to it before. A friend of mine's husband that went to alot of the 2023 games with us, including the LIz Kitley buzzer beater against NC State said they were some of the best basketball games he'd ever seen.
