You may be right that Babcock wanted to go the "safe route" for whatever

reason(s). I can't say if I agree or disagree with his thinking/strategy because I have no clue whatever was going on behind the scenes or in his mind. The lack of knowledge and detail regarding every step or everything that transpired that led up to today's announcement is what influenced those questions coming to my mind. Unfortunately, it is probably unlikely that additional information will surface so fans can answer those questions. The only way fans will know the answers is if Babcock is willing to publicly answer them.
