Hottest Hitters heading into the tournament
Softball America partnered with 64Analytics to come up with the "hottest" hitters heading into the NCAA tournament.
They created a metric that they are calling "Weighted Runs Created: An estimate of the number of runs a player contributes to their team) since April 13 with a minimum of 30 plate appearances"
I combed through the list and pulled out the players from the Baton Rouge Regional, FWIW

If we dug deep, we would see a bunch of 1-for-8s (even with a random walk) or something like that across the board. Enough to win 2 games, but...
Chatfield though.... was very good.

have to deal with very good pitching. Need to be wise at the plate with good and patient plate discipline. Would be nice to score early and put the pressure on. We all know how a great opposing pitcher can really change the game.
