Up some offense in the short term until they gain experience like similar to how Rohs has improved each year at the plate. I think we give up too much defensively with our current group of backstops. Wasn’t able to see any of the ‘Cuse series but have wanted to see if others agree with my perspective.

. . . who is the DH but it's been suggested she's physically unable to catch. I think I saw her with back brace on in the dugout at one point this season but not sure. We certainly don't get any defensive 'value added' with the current catcher situation. If there's coaching to improve this situation it hasn't been manifested on the field. A good defensive catcher can help the pitching staff in lots or ways, some apparent and others more subtle.
