. . . who is the DH but it's been suggested she's physically unable to catch. I think I saw her with back brace on in the dugout at one point this season but not sure. We certainly don't get any defensive 'value added' with the current catcher situation. If there's coaching to improve this situation it hasn't been manifested on the field.
