So, soooooo frustrating. Especially letting a ball bounce to the backstop
without any effort to get in front of it.

All the pitches that Mazzarone throws to her...many of them being difficut... she can't play defense? I get critiquing her but making some blanket statement like that is just wrong.

...but she is really bad defensively. She had poor technique wrt to blocking /smothering wayward pitches by not moving and reaching for everything. I get why Kylie is used as the DP because since being employed that way her hitting has improved dramatically which seems to suffer a bit as an every game catcher , but she is by far the better defensive player behind the plate. Zoe even struggles at times to actual catch the ball in the strike zone. I don't question her effort but she is really poor defensively.
