IT specialist? Yes, no or maybe I don’t think they’re some bastion of specialized academic excellence but they’ve got plenty of legit degrees and majors.

. . . not a place that's going to produce students that are going to lead us into the future as research is not the focus. Then, of course, there's the theological aspect that limits the universe from which faculty is drawn.

Would make me more likely to send my kids there in the next 4-8 years than say and Ivy League or more “prestigious” school. Trending that way the last decade for me

. . . exist. Not places where I'd want to work as a faculty member (my daughter did work at one of those) but there is clearly a constituency for theologically-rooted education of many ilks. See the Jesuit schools that are much different.
