I need to move closer to Blacksburg so I can watch these games in person.
Probably much more satisfying to witness a sweep of UNC in person. Go Hokies!

Some very affordable housing in Pulaski Co. Just 25 minutes away. If you
Ever won't to come take a look ill treat you to a beer at our newest brewery.

Stopped at Longway in Radford on way home from spring game. Nice vibe.
Only reason we've not moved yet is Blacksburg market is CRAZY compared to far SW VA. Sticker shock for us. I'll take a look at Radford-Pulaski area and see what's available. Know anything about Giles Co.?

Giles is nice too but Pulaski has a few more activities. We have the
Speedway/Dragstrip, brewery/wineries, Claytor Lake, New River Trail for hiking/biking, one of the nicest, and historic, minor baseball parks in the nation.

Small world. One of my sons played at Calfee Park in High School.
I live in Washington County near Abingdon. Went to school at Tech and I have a son who works at the University and lives there now. 2nd son in Va. Beach but wants to get back to the area. Its not like I live a long way from Blacksburg, but it is far enough to be really inconvenient, especially after a night game.

I love Abington. My wife and I are Porterfield Society Members and come to
The Barter about 10 times a year. I bring about 25 of my Freddy Kids there from Fries.

It just opened last month. Veteran owned. Opened on Peak Creek. It's
Great Wilderness. Great outside yard with pergolas, stage for entertainment.

Did this 3 years ago with another VT grad.
Lots of fun to have a place 10 minutes from campus. When the FB gets better, expecting an increase in property values

Pulled the trigger on that 4 years ago. 10 minutes from our place in . .
. . . CBurg to the athletic campus. Sitting my living room there right now.

I am very jealous
If only my parents had the vision and ability to buy a place up there back in the early 90’s when I was a student. Property values have near tripled since then. Oh well. My focus is now on getting my teenagers through college so I fear that ship has sailed for us.

Patience grasshopper! I'm a member of the class of '74 so . . .
. . . it took almost 50 years to get back here :)

suggestion: purchase the housing of your choice now for your teenagers-to-
be-Hokies and enjoy it now and when they need off-campus housing while at Tech. 💡 You could even rent it out now, but then you would have to wait to take advantage of weekend housing for whatever events - sports, culturals at the Moss Center, vacations, etc - until your children are matriculating. After they graduate or whenever you need to or don't have the want to go anymore, sell it.

On the way home last weekend the wife said. Maybe we can find a small
House just outside of town with Mountain View’s as a second place.
