I believe we had .367 batting average in this series to Duke’s .284.
Walks and Duke’s more timely hitting beat us. But I like our chances against them on a neutral field. Looking forward to the rematch.

On base average was key in first two losses. And those hits by us to the wa
wall that were out. Yaeger had at least two in game one.

Yep. It's about baserunners and pressuring the defense. VT's offense . . .
. . . is very good but somewhat one-dimensional. According to the announcer last night we've only had one sac bunt all season. We don't slap at all and aren't particularly aggressive on the bases. When you have 8 batters hitting 300+ it works most of the time but there's really no 'plan B'.
