What do we want to see: Duke is riding a seven-game win streak heading into this weekend. Over its win streak, the Blue Devils have looked the part that was expected of them this season. Behind Cassidy Curd’s leadership in the circle and Duke’s top-heavy lineup, the Blue Devils could stun the Hokies in Durham. Virginia Tech is a legit World Series contender and has passed nearly every road test with flying colors—so how will it fare this time against an ACC foe?

5. Virginia Tech vs. Duke — Virginia Tech is surging, while Duke has floundered. Now the Hokies will visit the Blue Devils for their own conference opener and Duke’s second ACC series – they swept Cal in Sacramento last week. Both teams are familiar with the ACC’s upper tier, but the first several weeks of the 2026 season have told two different fortunes for these two programs. This series could go a lot of different ways – it could solidify the Hokies’ spot on the conference’s highest tier or it could give the Blue Devils a chance for some ranked wins and a chance to re-establish their own footing as one of the league’s best.

a diamond. Bunt reminds me if a punt gun which is actually a huge weapon made for bird hunting where you try to kill an entire flock of ducks instead of one at a time. Bint just sounds much weaker, smaller, so @TomTurkey and I "adopted" the word for of his series of pledges in the Poppin' It Campaign. It doesn't refer to the person, it refers to the act.
