but if i recall correctly from posts earlier this season, it’s possible she gets awarded a redshirt year down the road

Medical redshirt is determined after 4th year.

It's determined by the compliance office. I've signed off on innumerable eligibility documents as a NCAA FAR. I'm not saying Pete didn't say this but Carrico, like every other NCAA athlete, has at least four years eligibility. If you do not compete eligibility is not used.
