Emma Lemley was Emma Lemley today!
Congratulations to our Hokies! Emma Lemley looked like Emma Lemley today. Only disturbing stat was 32 left-on-base for the three game set.

Against a team that had an ERA of 1.82 coming into the series and was allowing opponents to hit .193.
And it was the same team that allowed Clemson a total of SEVEN runs in the 3-game series just 3 weeks ago and allowed UNC just FIVE total runs last weekend.

there's no break in the lineup. When we played Clemson, they obviously have some serious bats but there are some breaks if you know what I'm saying. Brown was a machine - that was a show she put on this weekend. By the third game the UVa girls were mentally tired honestly because of the first 2 8 inning games and the emotion that went into those. They are still a fairly young team and the experience VT has in bigger games showed. It was great softball and UVa being competitive and taking a game in the series 2 years in a row hopefully means it will continue to be so at least from my kid's perspective. I remember when this series wasn't even competitive 4-5 years ago! That Clemson series is going to be a doozy!!

Lots of good young talent on your team and that beautiful stadium will continue paying dividends for you.
Glad we were able to get the series win.
Congratulations on a strong weekend for Abby.

. . . poorly leaving kids like JMU's first AA pitcher from Hot Springs wondering "why won't you recruit me". Of course they essentially played on an intramural field.

Why would any good athlete want to go there and play on a field like that.
Today is totally different, however. Beautiful facility.
