Good series win against a pretty solid
Hoo squad. They do not have elite talent, but they don’t beat themselves and have no glaring weaknesses. My point is that winning 2 out of 3 against a solid team on the road is not a letdown. Way to bounce back today girls!

because nearly every player in their lineup today played against us last year. I know their starting pitcher today is a true freshman.

Agreed, UVA is getting better and that showed in our last two series with
them. We probably should have swept but left a lot on base many with runners at third with less than 2 out. Had some bad at bats in those situations in this series even in today's 7-0 blowout. I believe ***an came up with runners at 2nd and 3rd and 1 out. Their third baseman was playing way back, I thought with ***an's speed she could have dropped a bunt and at least scored a run and possibly beat it out for a single. We have had many situations like that where we could have created some havoc on the base paths but instead choose to hit away.
