Fundraising for softball for this season - BIG NEWS
I just had one of our TSL peeps tell me that he loves what we are doing on here and is willing to match up to $15,000 in pledges for this season. Now THAT has me fired up!!!!!!
So either post your pledge here or reach out to me via E-Mail ([email protected]) and "Let's Get this Party Started!"
It can be for Home Runs (Hokie hit 115 last year - can they do it again?)
It can be for Wins (they've average 42/year discounting the COVID year)
It can be for Strikeouts (they've averaged 426/year discounting the COVID year)
It can be for Runs (Hokies scored a school record 417 last year)
It can be for Total Bases (New school record of 959 last year)
It can be for sacrifice bunts (always a favorite among some on the board)
It can be for anything you want - just give

TW Hokie has been a big part of this process since we started back in 2022. He always puts together his own pledges and challenges the rest of us to match him. I’m not sure we would be where we are today without him, so I want to share his thoughts and challenges.
TW is going to keep his usual $10/dinger and $2/strikeout, but he accurately points out that the more important stats are team ones so he has added these:
*$10 per win
*$20 per win over a ranked opponent
*$25 for winning an ACC series
*$50 for an ACC sweep
*$250 for winning the ACC regular season
At the end of the year, he's added
*$250 for winning the ACC tournament
*$250 for winning a Regional
*$500 for winning a Super Regional
*$1,000 for winning the national championship
I personally am going to match those last four because that means we are having a REALLY, REALLY good year and I would absolutely LOVE to pay off the $1,000 for winning a national championship (hey, a guy can dream).
Let's Go Hokies!!!!

I bet a lot of folks might use it as a base for their contributions.

And a bonus $100 for each game that the Hokies hit four or more!
And if that's not enough, this wonderful donor is sending $3,000 NOW!
Hokie fans/TSL family are the best!!!!!!

You could make it to Berkeley to see VT play Cal in late April easier than coming to Bburg.

I had a blast in my "rookie season" last year!! I need to look at the schedule again and see if/how I can work a trip in around this thing called work! It would be great to catch up with "the gang" ie you, VTChip, laphroaig, John, etc again - you guys were awesome!

Which makes my auction process harder (but we'll figure it out).
If you come our way by 4/2, we have Liberty at home, then a weekend series at NC State which is only a 3 hour drive away, followed by a Tuesday home game versus Charlotte, and the weekend series versus Notre Dame. The Spring Game is even that weekend so you get a bit of everything.

The batter has to reach base for the latter.
