If a sport decides to implement a NIT-like tournament to give more teams
an opportunity to participate in the postseason, then I have no problem with it. UEFA has the Champions League, Europa League, and now Conference League for professional European soccer. DI men's college basketball has the NCAAT, NIT, CBI, and CIT. If more postseason tournaments help to grow a sport, then I see that as being a good thing.
