Two big disappointments of not hosting.

1. Coach celebrated Rouex's birthday by phone or Zoom. 2. Seeing LSU player graduate and receive her degree in uniform. That was quite a personal price for dedication and commitment to reaching for the brass ring. I heartily congratulate and sincerely thank the staff and players for the joy and pride they provided the Hokie Softball Nation who follow and support their effort and achievements.

Mark Berman wrote a really good story about the hosting issue last week

The committee didn't want VT to host.

Do you have any facts on this or is it a WAG?**

Guess.**

I’d bet they’d have given an exception if Clemson was host eligible

Clemson is the only ACC team with a comparable situation to VT.

And believe her or not, Nonnen said Clemson would have been in the same
VAHokie89 05/18/26 06:41 PM ET
call me crazy but if VT was a top 10 team something would have happened **

I wonder if the administration will attempt to avoid NCAAT in the future.

It may be tough to do if the NCAA's window is more flexible than VT's
VTHokie2000 05/18/26 11:32 AM ET
Next year, there is not a conflict so that's a good thing.**
VTChip 05/18/26 11:25 AM ET
Where's the ACCT? Before or after graduation? Who's hosting?
TomTurkey 05/18/26 11:30 AM ET
I believe Clemson is hosting the ACCT next year
VTChip 05/18/26 11:52 AM ET
Thanks. Looking to host next year if OOC will cooperate.**
