Great thing about these early season tournaments is that there are some

easier games and it allows everyone to get to play. As a fan, I like to see that. A lot of players saw some action this past weekend. At this point only 1 player who is not injured has not played yet. Cassie Grizzard. She pitched 26 innings last year and had a 3.15 ERA. It's not like she can't pitch. She is a Senior, been with us for 3 years and it almost seems disrespectful to not have given her some innings at this point. The game Sunday would have been a perfect chance. Instead, we pitched Mazz and Bree against a team we clearly overmatched. And Mazz had pitched a complete game, 125+ pitches the day before. Why not let Cassie pitch and have Bree and Mazz in reserve if we needed them? This weekend will be our last tournament. I really hope she gets in. I wish there was a way to start a TSL campaign to "pitch Cassie". It reminds me of crowds at basketball games chanting the names of bench players to get in when the games decided. The difference is those players aren't good enough to get playing time in most contests. In this case, Cassie is. ** Edited by nkhooch at 3/3/2026, 1:54:32 AM
