Kaleigh played softball for the Hokies from 2018-2022 and served as a video analyst in 2023. She graduated with a 4.0 average with a BS in meteorology and geography and then a Masters degree in geography. She is currently working on her doctorate degree at Mississippi State Although she only appeared in 17 games at VT, she was the ultimate teammate. She went 110% all the time and I don't think her parents ever missed a game. I will never forget when she blasted a 2-run home run to left-center versus Radford in 2021 - her teammates spilled out of the dugout like they had just won the national championship. Kaleigh spent her summers as a storm chaser and she often told me that her dream was to go up in a hurricane hunter aircraft. I always told her that she was nuts, but this week, her dream came true. Yesterday, Kaleigh flew on NOAA 42 on a mission into Tropical Storm Imelda. That's pretty dang cool, I LOVE it when good things happen to good people and Kaleigh is good people!
