If I remember correctly, that home run blast was in the bottom of the same
inning she made a great play at the plate to catch the throw and tag out the runner. And yes, her parents always sat on the back row against the press box on the third base line. I recall having a conversation with them after they told me who they were.
She is another in a long line of fabulous Hokies.
