Last off-season it apparently was about (at least in all the public interviews) (1) Velocity, power, MPH (2) Expanding pitching selection This coming off-season needs to be about Control. I am sure they worked on control, but the biggest issue for the pitchers this season has been consistently throwing strikes or even near strikes. This is not about some supposed umpire strike zone issue all season. We love to blame pitching issues on umpires. We need to know that we have control issues. Even if we are able to wriggle out of situations or get a triple play to save us, the difference between being a top 15 team and a top 10 team will be improved pitching control and consistent batting averages in the 7-8-9 spots...
