From the Press Release: "CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Amy Kvilhaug has announced today that she will retire from collegiate coaching and will step down from her position as head softball coach at Boston College. "I would like to thank Boston College, the administration, my assistant coaches, and all the student-athletes who made my experience at BC so exceptional. It was an honor and privilege to serve as the leader of the softball program. I am so grateful for my time as an Eagle," Kvilhaug said. "As I embark upon my next career endeavor, I plan to continue to serve others through the mission BC instilled in me of men and women for others. I wish for nothing but continued success to the program, department, and all my colleagues who have made my time at BC so special. Go Eagles!" "Kvilhaug recently completed her sixth season on the Heights. She arrived at BC in July of 2019, becoming the fifth head coach in program history. Her best season with the Eagles came in 2024, guiding the team to 30 victories and advancing to the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship." Per D1 Softball, "Kvilhaug spent six seasons as the Eagles’ head coach, collecting a 118-152 overall record and posting a 35-96 mark in ACC play. 'Prior to her time at Boston College, Kvilhaug also served as head coach at Radford (2002-06) and St. John's (2006-18). In her 22 seasons, she compiled 527 victories at the NCAA Division I level."
