Cori HR ball/strike counts

I took a quick look at ball/strike counts when Cori slams a home run this year. Perhaps some tendencies would show up for her 19 HR. Not surprisingly data shows she homers mostly early in the counts Some other trends: 13/19 hrs with less than 2 strikes 10/19 hr with 1 or 0 balls 5/19 hr on first pitch 1/19 hr on full count 1/19 hr with 3 balls (same hr as full count) 6/19 hr with 2 strikes Data shown below in chronological order top (1st) to bottom (19th) Balls - strikes 2-2 2-1 2-1 0-0 0-0 2-1 2-1 1-2 0-0 3-2 2-0 0-0 0-1 1-0 2-2 0-0 1-0 0-2 2-2

What makes it difficult for our opponents with Cori batting leadoff is that

And you have Michelle right behind her.

She is only guaranteed to be the leadoff one inning**

But likely she will get an extra bat/game on occasion. See Stanford Game 3**

She was the leadoff batter in that inning. **

Correct, but my point was that you don't want to start the game with a walk
