Hi Chip - if you care to answer, I have some questions for you. How long have you been a VT Softball “Superfan”, and how did you become so intertwined with the team? Sorry, I’ve never heard your backstory, but enjoy reading your posts and articles. I am a life-long softball and baseball fan, but I’m ashamed to admit a fair-weather VT Olympic sports fan. This is not to say I don’t watch other college softball and baseball teams - especially, when it gets to this point in the year. Fast-pitch softball to me is very intriguing due to: the abilities of pitchers to throw so many types of pitches and at such velocity UNDERHAND; hitters having such high averages and just being able to make contact off these pitchers; and infielders being able to throw out speedy runners on base paths that seem so short to me. Anyway, I hope the best for this weekend. Don’t know how they are in real life, but they are an easy team to cheer on. They seem like really nice young women who are great representatives for VT.
