I remember there being a lot of earth movement when they were

building I81 between Ironto and Cburg, and also had issues when they widened the southbound side in that area too. Afton Mountain (I64 and US 250) on the eastern side has issues too. It’s probably why they haven’t constructed a third lane on the westbound side. I77 tunnel in Bland County also had a lot of issues. Bankrupted a few contractors before they finally figured out how to deal with it.
