Didn't see any evidence of our pitchers sliding. They all seemed to . . .

. . . able to drive and land fine. If they were having a problem they should have called it to the attention of the umpires and/or our coaches. I've seen pitching circles worked on DURING innings dozens of times for various reasons IF the ump asks for it. I've also seen games halted if a pitcher and/or coach is adamant enough in their complaining. I didn't see any VT player or coach address an umpire regarding the footing the circle. Did you? I guarantee you Karen Weekly would have been standing in the circle demanding something be done and it would have been.
