Think you’re spot on. The 3B ump doesn’t have a good view of a RH batter

If the HP ump thought it was a swing, he would’ve called it a swing. So the fact that he didn’t kind of encourages the 3B ump to claim plausible deniability and just go with the original call since he does not have a better view in that case. Same thing happened on Saturday, except it was BC that got the benefit of the 3B ump not having a better view and just going w the HP ump’s initial call.
