Wrong. Wouldn't be surprised if the one picked turned it down for the

reasons I stated. Want to give a trophy to the leader of a certain stats - most home runs, winningest pitcher, lowest era, most doubles, highest batting average - that's fine, those are defined stats. To judge ONE single player as THE most valuable is a matter of opinion. Stick with hard stats - trash opinion on most valuable. To pick one is an insult to the others - unless the players do the picking. I would accept only the players vote on MVP.
