You are correct that today’s events are messed up.
But if ESPN had paid attention to the weather forecasts and started the game at 1:00, this whole discussion would be a moot point. The NCAA basically determines the teams and playing dates. ESPN sets the playing times. That’s the situation in a nutshell……like it or not.
