Only because it was against Canady and Atwood hitless for 5 games
But the actual pitch, the contact, and hitting a spot... a hitter hitting .397. Odds are it was not one of Canady's best pitches if she had the IBB in mind. Atwood is one of Texas' top 4 hitters with A .397 BA, 21 HRs and 12 doubles. Gutsy to swing at a 3-0 pitch? Coaches give green lights for that all the time, even though the normal mindset is to take and wait for a hittable pitch.
It would be "amazing" if people focused on it being her first hit in 5 games and Texas only had 3 hits in the game prior hers. BUT she had not had a hit since the second Clemson game in the super regionals on May 23. That is a better talking point. She gets a hit nearly 40% of the time she is at-bat.
It just was not spectacular or amazing. It probably didn't require GREAT situational awareness. Assuming it was obvious that they were "trying" to intentionally walk her, her situational awareness knew it was obvious ...didn't take a genius to figure out that. .though not so obvious given the pitching sequence. For many IBBs, I often see batters stay ready anyway. Gutsy? Clutch maybe because Texas had only had 3 hits prior to that and Atwood had been hitless for 5 games.

IMO, the Texas Tech coach needed to visit the mound during the “walk”
